Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to patients/families and the community. Accomplishes this by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care and supervising the work of the licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff and students assigned to the unit
Minimum Qualifications:
RN licensure as outlined by NYS Education Department. Meets NYS Civil Service requirements. Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
This position is for an Eve shift RN, working a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Prior RN nursing experience is required, with Labor and Delivery experience preferred. The role includes orientation to all areas of the Family Birth Center, including Labor and Delivery, L&D OR, Postpartum, Nursery, and scrub duties. Candidates should be flexible, team-oriented, and committed to providing compassionate care across the full spectrum of maternal and newborn services.
