Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team to perform surgical procedures on patients successfully.
• Ensure accurate charging by managing clocking time.
• Carry out all departmental duties as assigned by supervisors.
• Provide a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Take responsibility for Theatre and cases on a daily basis where you are allocated.
• Effective risk prevention and management.
• Attend handover of report at shift commencement.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
• Refer all complaints from patients and doctors to the sister-in-charge of the unit/CNS.
• Assume responsibility for maintaining competence in theatre processes.
