A medium sized Consulting company with international offices is looking to hire a Rehabilitation Specialist.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Ecology or Natural Sciences (or similar)
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• General understanding of soil science and how soils relate to rehabilitation
• Basic knowledge of plants and suitable plants for rehabilitation, especially grasses that can be utilised for rehabilitation
• Basic background related to wetland assessments and practical knowledge on principles of wetland rehabilitation
• Legal knowledge associated with rehabilitation, specifically related to the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act and the National Environmental Management Act
• Strong background related to the mining industry
