Reprocesses Bicarbonate for Hemodialysis.
Assembles trays used to initiate and discontinue Hemodialysis.
Identifies, assesses, and communicates to the hemodialysis nurse discrepancies in the dialysis supplies identified to be used for a patient’s dialysis treatment.
Assumes responsibility to initiate on/off procedures for the water treatment system.
Stocks linen cupboards.
Stocks L-carts of dialysis supplies.
Provides assistance, as required, to porter patients, supplies, dialysis machines, lab specimens, and other non-nursing duties.
Identifies, assesses, and communicates safety concerns to the Renal Patient Care Supervisor or delegate.
Provides assistance in planning corrective actions to ensure safety for patients and staff.
