**Job Overview**

Monitors the requisition of the goods and services of the company, draws a comparison between the vendor prices, and purchases goods for one or more product groups.

**Job Requirements**

+ Ensuring that proper inventories are maintained. Seeking the highest value tradeoff between cost and quality.
+ Choosing the suppliers of the products, negotiating the lowest price, and awarding contracts based on established guidelines and procedures.
+ Keeping abreast of changes in the market affecting both the supply of and demand for needed products.
+ Studying sales records and inventory levels of current stock; seeking new, alternative foreign and domestic suppliers.
