New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint a Research Scientist to investigate gene expression in circadian neural networks. The successful applicant will use a combination of molecular and electrophysiological approaches to investigate how gene expression contributes to the rhythms in excitability and plasticity of circadian clock neurons in rodents . The project will be based at NYU Abu Dhabi and will be co-supervised by Dipesh Chaudhury and Justin Blau.

Responsibilities:


+ Perform single cell gene expression from mice brain nuclei and single cell data analysis

+ Stereotaxic surgeries for circuit tracing and silencing specific genes

+ Perform slice electrophysiology and data analysis using Clampfit

+ Bulk RNA sequencing and data analysis

+ Mice behavioral experiments using wheel running, PIR etc.

+ Mice brain immunohistochemistry

+ Spatial genomics


Applicants must have a PhD with at least six years...
