The Fisher Laboratory in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Wesleyan University seeks a full-time Research Technician.


Reporting to the Professor of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, the Research Technician will join an NIH-funded research group dedicated to investigating the structure and function of bacterial proteins involved in copper homeostasis and transcriptional regulation.


Responsibilities include:

+ Execute research projects using standard techniques in molecular biology and biochemistry (protein expression and purification, gel electrophoresis, biochemical and biophysical assays)

+ Maintain a detailed lab notebook documenting all experimental work

+ Maintain inventory records and purchase supplies

+ Supervision of undergraduate work-study students

+ Other duties as assigned
