Job summary
The Resident Medical Officer is a pivotal member of the Private Care clinical team, providing continuous on-site medical cover across private maternity services, including inpatient wards, theatres, outpatient areas, and associated clinical settings. Working within a consultant-led model of care, the RMO acts as the first-line medical responder, delivering prompt clinical assessment, intervention, stabilisation, and escalation to ensure the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and patient experience.

The role is central to supporting the safe and effective management of maternity patients throughout their care journey, maintaining continuity of care, responding to urgent clinical situations, and supporting the timely implementation of consultant-led treatment plans.
