**GENERAL SUMMARY** **:**

The purpose of this position is to ensure a high quality Respiratory Therapy program by providing oversight, administration, teaching and advisement for the Respiratory Therapy and Polysomnography program. The Chair is responsible for providing effective leadership, ongoing program planning, program assessment, continuous improvement, and fiscal management. The position will include .75 FTE teaching responsibility and .25 FTE program administration responsibility.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** **:**

+ Provides effective leadership and guidance in all areas of the program, including policy and procedure development, accreditation and retention efforts, building and maintaining partnerships for clinical/learning experiences and with contracting agencies and individuals.
