Requirements Grade 12 Qualification in Hospitality or Food Service Management 2β3 years experience as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury or 5 star environment Wine certification or strong wine knowledge preferred Previous fine dining experience would be beneficial Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working with high end clientele Good knowledge of food and wine Able to work under pressure in a busy environment Good planning and organisational skills Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the restaurant and related dining areas Ensure guests receive excellent service at all times Handle guest queries or complaints in a professional and efficient way Work with the Sommelier to maintain and update wine and beverage lists Recruit, train and manage restaurant staff, including rosters and overtime Oversee stock ordering, stock control and budget management Ensure all hygiene, safety and food service standards are followed
