This is an exciting time to join the Reviewing Service within Communities Directorate. The post holder will undertake the role of Reviewing Officer, providing independent oversight of care planning for children and young people, particularly those who are care experienced and on the child protection register.

Working closely with social work teams, partner agencies, children, young people and their families, the Reviewing Officer will:

Chair statutory meetings for children who are looked after or subject to child protection concerns, ensuring that the child’s plan is robust, outcome-focused, and in the best interests of the child.

Ensure the voice of the child is central to all planning and review processes, promoting participation and rights-based practice across both Looked After and CP processes.
