Position Overview
The Nurse Care Coordinator is a registered or licensed nursing professional responsible for the development and coordination of lactation services, breastfeeding education, and clinical support programs within the Women's Center. Utilizing a patient-centered approach, this role provides lactation education and support to pregnant and postpartum patients and their families, coordinates care for patients and/or mother-infant couplets, and promotes positive maternal and infant health outcomes through collaboration with providers. Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Bachelor's degree in nursing
Previous experience with Electronic Health Records
IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)
Preferred: 2-3 years obstetric, perinatal, or related experience
Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills
