Profile Review - If recommended by our clinical team, the Unit Manager will call candidate for a phone interview.

Unit L&D/PP/MB

# of L&D Beds - 5
# of OR Suites - 1 within the unit, staffed by the main OR we don't scrub/circulate
# of triage beds - 1
# of Postpartum beds - 3 in addition to the 5 LDRPs
# of births per day, per year - Approx 340 annual deliveries (30-35/month on average)
Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? - yes
Required Certification - BLS, NRP
Common diagnoses/Types of patients - We are not a high risk department
Experience or 'Must have' skills - L&D, PP, routine nursery, Intermediate Nursey; Nurses must be able to be independent in all areas of care. There are always a minimum of 2 nurses present, sometimes 3. Each RN is the back up for the other. Strong skills are essential. Each RN is depended on equally....
