**Description:**

**Position Purpose:**

The Endoscopy department at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s averages 20 cases per day. The Registered Nurse RN would participate in inpatient and outpatient upper and lower endoscopies along with advanced GI procedures. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2. All staff are cross trained to work in pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure. This is a fast-paced environment that is challenging and rewarding to experienced nurses. The staff has a close working relationship with GI physicians and anesthesia.

The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
