Performs as safety and occupational health specialist assigned to a military installation, or a command tenant thereon, safety office. Applies knowledge of recognized principles, standards, and techniques of safety and occupational health management that contribute to the achievement of comprehensive safety and occupational health objectives. Independently schedules and performs surveys of organizational operations and activities including fixed and floating assets to identify, develop and institute countermeasures necessary to abate or mitigate hazards posing risk to the safekeeping of human and/or materiel resources.
