Summary You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the INSTALLATION SAFETY OFFICE of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA. Responsibilities You will conduct independent periodic inspections and evaluations of assigned activities to determine compliance with occupational safety and health regulations. You will advise on appropriate measures to eliminate or control hazardous operating procedures, hazardous occupational exposures or environmental conditions. You will conduct independent accident and mishap investigations. You will review plans and specifications for new construction, building alterations, and/or changes in installation equipment to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards.
