Amentum is seeking a **Safety Specialist** for a position on **Kauai, HI** . Under close supervision, the Safety Specialist will prepare, coordinate, implement, and monitor environmental, safety and health (ESH) policies, plans and procedures to assure the maximum safety of personnel, equipment, and property.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assists in providing OSHA, HAZMAT, HAZWASTE, and other related EHS training to employees.
+ Assist in collecting shipping and coordinate samples for analysis. Monitor and document results. Note: If employee is required to certify and ship Hazmat Material, it is understood that he/she will be upgraded to an SA-4 Hazmat Certifier/Shipper. Employee must have the necessary Certificate to be upgraded.
+ Assists in HW operations, preparing proper documents and shipment of hazardous waste from cradle to grave.
