Job Purpose

The Satellite Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance, functionality and availability of satellite systems, facilities and solutions across GDMO. The role includes managing satellite facilities such as uplink and downlink, IPTV, mobile news gathering and fiber links. The Satellite Engineer works closely with the Broadcast Engineer and the Network Engineer to provide engineering functionality across GDMO, in line with GDMO’s strategic vision and requirements. The role holder is expected to demonstrate teamwork skills and carry out duties in accordance with the relevant business policies and procedures.
