GENERAL SCOPE: Guards shall be responsible for the safety and security of the Jewish Home residents, visitors, staff and property. Guards shall preserve the peace, prevent and investigate crime and enforce all regulations in accordance with the Jewish Home's policies and procedures.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:
High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of the Security Guard Act 8 and 16 hour training class by an accredited school and annually complete an 8 hour In-Service Training Course for Security Guards every year thereafter. This may be supplemented by security training in a police academy or recognized security instruction through the military or civilian training.Must have current NYS certificate in compliance with Security Guard Act.
