Description

Responsible for the safety and security of the Center's patients, employees and visitors. Prevents or detects and reports fire, theft, vandalism and/or illegal entry. Greets patients, visitors, and staff as they enter/exit the Center. Enforces visitation policies as appropriate. Acts as a deterrent to those inappropriately attempting to enter Center. Conducts periodic rounding of all areas to ensure facility is secured as required. Works closely with facilities to ensure down elevators and other systems are reported when found inoperable. Provides training to all new officers and coordinates that training with the Operations Security Supervisor and the Security Supervisor as appropriate. Coordinates with medical staff when needed to de-escalate visitor or patient incidents. Working knowledge of all internal alarm systems.
