About the role

Balfour Beatty Rail are recruiting for a Senior CAD Technician to come and join the team and work out of our London, Derby or Redhill offices as well as remotely (working within a Hybrid model). In this role the Senior CAD Technician will be supporting the design engineers in the preparation of Civil and Rail engineering models and drawings.

What you'll be doing

• Understand and comply with project and function‑specific standards and practices and tasks.
• Assist in estimating timescales for specific tasks.
• Assist in producing technical literature, enquiry documentation and reports.
• Assist in training junior staff and directing contract/agency personnel & technicians with their duties.
• Act safely and work to eliminate hazards at source.
• Assist in compliance with drawing codes of practice and standards.
• Work to ensure compliance with Network Rail and TfL drawing standards.
