The Infectious Diseases Research Unit (IDRU) is looking for a band 7 Senior Research Nurse to oversee the delivery of their portfolio of commercial and academic research studies, and manage the research team. As part of this, they will also coordinate their own small portfolio of studies. The job provides an opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated individual to support the expansion of the research portfolio, and to further develop the clinical research delivery team. 

The role is patient facing, supporting the more junior members of the team recruiting research participants from I.D. wards, ICU, A&E and other acute clinical specialties. You will be required to take consent and samples from patients with known pathogens such as M-Pox, SARS, COVID and infuenza as well as any newly emerging pathogens.
