To ensure all safety aspects are properly managed, including all legal aspects as per IMDG Code and Solas.
- Maintain close communication with QSC and Area offices in all DG matters.
- Ensure IMDG, CFR49, SOLAS and in-house rules and regulations are complied.
- Responsible for DG securities, inspection and procedures as per JWP.
- Provide guidance to Areas pertaining to DG issues on daily basis.
- Clarify all DG related questions within the team.
- Handle special or sensitive DG shipments.
- Respond to inquiry and assist to Cargo Patrol hits.
- Prepare DG summaries with stowage requirements for planners, clarify stowage/segregation queries from vessels.
- Perform 4-eye Check to DG stowage plans and take over responsibility for correctness.
- Perform weekend duty.
- Support DG workshop for RAS Areas.
Adhoc - Involvement in pilot projects whenever necessary.
