The full-time Senior Cytotechnologist will support technical laboratory personnel in the day-to-day operations of the Cytopathology Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.


The incumbent will:


+ Prepare and microscopically examine slides of human cell samplings for the presence of disease or other abnormality.

+ Receive, accession and process GYN and Non-GYN specimens, blocks, and slides.

+ Assist FNA and biopsy procedures and perform quick adequacy assessment.

+ Monitor incoming phone inquiries and requests.

+ Serve as the general supervisor of the cytology laboratory as defined by CLIA and is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the laboratory operations and personnel in the absence of the supervisor.
