Position Overview

            MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
 
Agricultural diploma or degree   
Experience with dairy management software   
Mechanical aptitude   
Proven experience managing a seasonal calving dairy herd  
Proven ability to achieve exceptional breeding results 
Strong knowledge of pasture-based systems   
Excellent leadership and communication skills   
AI and herd health management experience   
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions 
Ability to speak Zulu  
Valid drivers license   
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO 
 
Full management of the dairy unit and herd performance   
Implementation and oversight of seasonal calving programme   
Pasture and grazing management   
Staff supervision, training, and team leadership   
Animal health, breeding, and record-keeping
