Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, and maintain open-source databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, ScyllaDB, ClickHouse, and VeloDB.
Design and manage high availability (HA), replication, clustering, backup, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and scalability.
Provide 24x7 production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Support database migration projects from Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server to open-source databases.
Implement proactive monitoring and alerting using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Develop automation scripts and operational runbooks for database administration tasks.
Support ITIL-aligned incident handling and escalation processes (L1–L4).
Conduct database capacity planning, patching, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
