Senior/Environmental Health Officer

Location: Harlow (4 days per week on site from September 2026)

Contract: Temporary – Initial 3-Month Contract

Hours: Full Time

Rate: £45.00 - £50.00 per hour (Umbrella)

We are delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of an experienced Senior/Environmental Health Officer to join their Housing team on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in improving housing standards, supporting enforcement activity, and helping the authority prepare for new legislative changes, including the implementation of the Renters' Rights Act 2025.

you will be responsible a range of private sector housing enforcement functions, including:

Carrying out Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) inspections.
Serving Improvement Notices and undertaking housing enforcement activities.
Managing Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) licensing.
