WSP has a new opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to be part of our Mine Waste team on a full-time basis based in Midrand. The typical role and responsibilities of this role is to provide Geotechnical Engineering services in the mining, infrastructure as well as property and buildings sectors.
Responsibilities
Project management of geological and geotechnical projects, including multi-disciplinary projects, tailings facility site investigations, buildings and infrastructure projects.
Interpret geological and geotechnical data, perform analysis, and draw conclusions/recommendations.
Prepare proposals, tenders, reports, and other technical deliverables.
Manage, perform analysis and conduct field observations and carry out geological and geotechnical reporting for projects.
Use judgement in making adaptations and modifications where required and in association with other Senior Engineers.
