**Description**

SAIC is seeking a **Senior Mechanical Engineer** responsible for supporting a Project at our customer location in Hanahan, SC. This position is 100% onsite.
The prospective candidate needs to have extensive experience with Mechanical Engineering but also familiarity with Software Engineering as this prospective candidate will be the focal point of the Engineering Team.
**Job Duties:**

+ Learn the Hardware element of the BFT System including all components for the various platforms as well as their interoperability.
+ Thoroughly understand the Technical Data Package (TDP) of the USMC BFT System and gain an in-depth knowledge of all Project Drawings and Drawing Structure.
+ Knowledgeable in the CAD software applications Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks. Also knowledgeable in PLM software and Drawing Storage Systems such as Autodesk Vault.
