A lead defense contractor is looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager sitting in San Diego, CA. He/she will be supporting a counter unmanned aerial system providing real-time protection for life, property, and sensitive infrastructure from unwanted drones using a non-destructive AI based approach. These systems are deployed across the globe, rapidly expanding the footprint of a technologically innovative solution that addresses all aspects of the user experience. They are a self-funded product that sells commercially. Every 4 years they do a refresh on their product and they're aiming to shorten their timeline from 4 years to 2 years and adding additional products. This Mechanical Engineering Manager will be leading their mechanical engineering team of 5-7 ME's and hardware repair technicians.
