Senior Occupational Therapist

The purpose of this post is to provide specialist Occupational Therapy on Medical and Orthopedic wards at Scunthorpe Hospital. The post aims to support effective discharge planning as part of a wider MDT. You would be expected to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner ensuring the service delivers excellent care to patients.

There will be an expectation that you will participate in the 7 day working rota.

Main duties of the job

Perform advanced Occupational Therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions. Use advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.

Responsible for managing own caseload and a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.
