The Opportunity

As a Senior Optimization Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will help develop the software and mathematical models that support real-time and market-based choices across the power system. In this role, you will work at the intersection of power systems, electricity markets, optimization, and software development—designing, building, testing, integrating, and documenting applications that help utilities and market operators run markets efficiently and support reliable grid operations.

You will translate customer requirements into technically sound solutions, apply advanced mathematical modeling and numerical methods, and support software releases while addressing complex technical issues.
