Summary

/Objective: Our Process Development Engineers collaboratively work with Design Engineers, Product Engineers and Operations to develop and implement new manufacturing processes, which support next generation of Samtec Optics products. The Senior Optoelectronics Process Development Engineer leads complex engineering studies (DOEs, FMEAs), troubleshoots technical issues, and is a mentor to junior staff. The ideal candidate has broad experience with microelectronics assembly and optics manufacturing, to be able to consider the impacts upstream and downstream of process changes.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Lead and execute experiments to identify key process variables using DOE type methodologies or other analytical methods.

Develop manufacturing best practices, parameters, process windows, and work instructions that support new product development.
