Main Purpose of Job

The primary purpose of this position is to provide senior-level paralegal support for the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation (MALPF) easement program in 23 counties and support the Assistant Attorney General's Office, Chief of Land Acquisition & Disposal, and Chief of Valuation and Appraisal in MALPF duties outlined in the MOU between the Department of Agriculture and Department of General Services. Responsibilities include file and database management; legal document preparation and review; procurement, ordering, and reviewing title work; plotting legal descriptions; approving and tracking invoices from title companies; and performing post-closing review and file archiving. This position also serves as the Senior/Lead Paralegal, assigning, reviewing, and overseeing Junior Paralegals work.
