Introduction

A reputable opencast chrome mining operation in the North West Province is seeking a highly experienced Senior Pit Foreman to oversee and manage production activities within the pit. The successful candidate will take accountability for supervising Pit Supervisors and ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective mining operations.

Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate daily opencast production activities in line with the mine plan. Provide leadership to Pit Supervisors and ensure production targets are achieved. Monitor productivity, equipment performance, and material movement. Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA). Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks. Liaise with Mine Planning, Engineering, and Maintenance teams. Compile production reports and drive operational improvements.
