Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN Agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and nongovernmental partners. The forced return of Brazilians represents a significant humanitarian, social, and economic challenge, requiring a coordinated response based on human rights and sustainable reintegration of forced returnees.
