Main Roles & Responsibilities Assessment and Case Conceptualisation
Conduct psycho-educational assessments for children referred to DS-LS.
Develop individualised support plans based on assessment findings and multidisciplinary (educators, family, therapy team) input.
Conduct School Readiness Assessments (SRA) and/or Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNA) to support assigned children’s school placement, if required.
Intervention and Consultation
Provide direct intervention for children recommended for DS Psychology packages, who are identified to have socio‑emotional, behavioural, or learning challenges.
Provide advice to Early childhood educators on modification of the learning environment and removing barriers to facilitate learning in classrooms, as required.
Conduct psychotherapy and counselling for children with mild emotional needs such as anxiety.
