Senior Research Engineer - Hypersonic M&S

CFD Research is seeking a Senior level Engineer to serve as a technical lead on a project focused on the development and application of computational methods for hypersonic vehicle modeling and simulations. The candidate will be part of a team focused on physics-based modeling of multiple facets of hypersonic flight, including TPS aerothermal response, boundary layer modeling, material ablation and decomposition, hypersonic external flow modeling, flight trajectory modeling, thermo-structural response modeling, and more. Candidate will support tasks focused on the development and application of multiple software tools ranging from CFD applications, reduced order modeling, and low- to medium-fidelity semi-empirical / analytical models.
