Job Summary:
SUNY Upstate Pharmacology Team is in search of a Senior Research Support Specialist who will Under general supervision of the Lab's PI, perform and support laboratory experiments.

Key Responsibilities:


+ Manage a growing laboratory in the Pharmacology Department.

+ Create a productive and collegial laboratory environment.

+ Maintain laboratory reagents (stock solutions), supplies, ordering, interactions with vendors, general lab management including institutional and regulatory protocols, maintain animal colony.

+ Spanning from molecular cloning and sequencing to assessing mRNA/protein expression and localization, cell culture and histology.

+ In vivo recordings of brain and heart electrical activity.

+ Mentoring and assisting graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with their projects particularly troubleshooting experiments.

+ Provide oversight and maintenance of departmental equipment.
