About the role:
We're looking for skilled and passionate Senior Solicitor Advocates to join our team in Melbourne. This is an exceptional opportunity for lawyers who thrive in the courtroom, with a significant portion of their time dedicated to appearing in a diverse range of matters across the Magistrates' and County Court criminal jurisdictions.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Handling everything from Magistrates' Court list work and contested hearings to complex matters in the County Court, including pleas, appeals, and specialist court appearances.
* Working in unique environments such as the County Koori Court, Drug and Alcohol Treatment Court, and the Children's Court.
* Conducting high-level legal research and analysis, draft submissions, and work closely with Crown Prosecutors to build strong cases.
