Senior Specialist – Customer Assessment Unit

Overview: The Customer Assessment Unit (AAY) is a nationwide unit responsible for customer processes, with key tasks including prisoner assessment, planning of sentences, and prisoner placement and transfers. The unit coordinates and develops nationwide assessment and planning activities within the units and ensures process guidance and monitoring related to assessment and sentence planning processes across all sanctions. The unit is also responsible for security assessments of prisoners and convicted individuals. The Security Assessment Team is responsible for preparing security assessments for all prisoners assessed by the Customer Assessment Unit or community sanctions offices, including those arriving from civil courts.
