Summary This position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs. Specifically, the work within the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) to review, develop, and adjudicate claims filed by Veterans, their dependents, and beneficiaries. Responsibilities The Senior Veterans Claims Examiner serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for the Veteran and/or the claimant and/or his/her representative or advocate and is the main decision-maker for the full range of education claims. They are responsible for the following duties but are not limited to: Interprets and applies regulations: Utilize federal laws, VA regulations, and procedural guidance to resolve issues and ensure compliance in benefit administration.
