Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned vessels to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective performance in line with OSM Thome procedures, international regulations (ISM, ISPS, MLC), ISO, and customer expectations.
Act as the primary point of contact for vessel operations, ensuring alignment between the vessel’s senior management team and shore-based support functions.
Monitor and follow up on class, flag, port state, and third-party inspections; ensure timely rectification of deficiencies, certification compliance, and readiness for audits.
Supervise crew selection, performance evaluation, and wellbeing of senior officers; support crewing decisions and maintain high standards of onboard leadership.
