Job Purpose

Working as part of a Service Area, a Service Technician shall mainly undertake technical work and support the Lead Technician to ensure maximum availability of the wind farm. It may be required to carry out work in various wind farms within South Africa. The work will include general and specialized work on Wind Turbines and associated equipment, together with the local teams in the service region.

Functions Autonomously carry out troubleshooting, fault‑finding and repairs of wind turbines and associated equipment. Carry out complex repair‑processes and exchanges in collaboration with the local technical support. Fill in job cards, reports and checklists in order to completely inform supervision, management and clients. Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site, including booking usage and ensuring replacement. Guarantee that tasks are undertaken with high quality and efficiently.
