Job Description
Event Management
ββ’ Configure and support ServiceNow Event Management, including event rules, alert management rules, and alert correlation.
ββ’ Ensure accurate ingestion and processing of events from monitoring tools.
ββ’ Assist in tuning thresholds, filtering noise, and improving alert quality.
ββ’ Support the full alert lifecycle, including creation, acknowledgment, remediation, and closure.
CMDB & Service Mapping Support
ββ’ Apply CMDB fundamentals to correctly associate events and alerts to Configuration Items (CIs).
ββ’ Understand CI relationships and dependencies to support meaningful alert correlation.
ββ’ Collaborate with CMDB and Service Mapping teams to ensure data quality required for Event Management.
ITOM & Operations Collaboration
ββ’ Understand how Event Management fits within IT Operations Management (ITOM).
ββ’ Support integration with Incident Management for automated or assisted incident creation.
