Responsible for the overall administration and management of each SharePoint farm. Monitor the environment and take corrective actions to ensure that platform is operating at peak functionality and performance. Responsible for the security, integrity and recoverability of data stored in the system. Work with other groups to ensure that the system is fault and disaster tolerant. They reduce manual work by automating repetitive tasks. Installs, configures and maintains multiple SharePoint farms; various service applications such as the Search Service and User Profile service and third-party components that integrate with SharePoint.
