**Job Title: Sheet Metal Technician**

**Job Description**

The Sheet Metal Technician plays a key role on the Capital Planning & Facilities team, helping to create, maintain, and preserve a functional and sustainable campus environment. This position focuses on installing, fabricating, and maintaining sheet metal components across campus facilities, with a strong emphasis on hand railings as well as a variety of other building and equipment applications.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform sheet metal repairs on mobile and stationary equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
+ Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts using hand tools and portable power tools.
+ Install door hardware including hinges, panic bars, thresholds, and related components.
+ Install motorized projector screens, mounts, and toilet partitions in campus facilities.
