Job Description
The
Shift Engineer
is responsible for ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of systems during assigned shifts. Shift Engineer monitors system performance, logs critical incidents, and communicates promptly with the Customer and Management teams. Shift Engineer ensures timely fault resolution and supports the execution of preventive maintenance activities as assigned by the Maintenance Engineer (ME). Reports to Manager/Assistant Manager on all system-related issues. Ensures that the system is operating normally. Monitors the system for faults and any other faults in the flow of baggage. Oversees the Control Room Senior and Technical Officers in the discharge of their duties. Ensures prompt response to all faults by immediately despatching technicians to attend to the faults.
