Job summary
The Ambulatory Assessment Unit (AAU) is a thriving unit, seeing up to 70 patients a day for clinical assessment and review. The role will oversee the day to day running of the Unit, supported by the Deputy Matron, ensuring that the patients receive high quality, safe and effective care. AAU is an ever growing department, with an MDT that works really closely together, always striving to make changes and improve the service to meet the needs of the population it serves.
Main duties of the job
The Sister/Charge Nurse is integral to leading the team and overseeing the day to day operational function of the Unit. Management of staff, clinical support of patients, budgetary oversight and good knowledge of clinical governance and how we continually evolve and improve are key components of the role.
