Role: Snowflake & Streaming Data Architect Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Experience: 12–15 years Key Responsibilities:

Design end-to-end Snowflake data model (Star/Snowflake schema, Data Vault 2.0)

Define Kafka topic strategy, schema registry standards, and ingestion patterns

Establish data governance, masking policies, RBAC, and tagging taxonomy

Own solution architecture, tech stack decisions, and stakeholder alignment

Define SLAs for data freshness, CDC patterns, and error handling.

Must-Have Skills:

Snowflake architecture (Virtual Warehouses, Dynamic Tables, Streams, Tasks)

Apache Kafka / Confluent Platform — topic design, Schema Registry (Avro/JSON)

Kafka-to-Snowflake connectors (Snowflake Kafka Connector or Confluent Cloud)

dbt Cloud for transformation layer

Python or SQL for pipeline validation
